The CIA is looking for a special agent, and the finalists have been narrowed down to 2 men and one woman.  The final exercise is responding to a scenario.

The first man is led to a room where his wife is sitting, given a gun and told to shoot her, no questions asked.  He responds "I can't kill my wife."  The CIA says "you're not the man we want.  Sorry."

The second man is led to a room where his wife is sitting, handed a gun and given the same instructions.  He is in there a few minutes and comes back out, tears streaming and obviously upset.  "I can't do this."  He is told to take his wife and go on home, the CIA can't use him.

The woman is brought in and told, "one of your duties is to follow orders, often difficult ones, without question."  She is led to the same room where her husband is sitting, handed the gun, and told to shoot him, no questions asked.

Within seconds the judges hear 13 rounds being fired.

Silence...and then all hell breaks loose.  Yelling and thumping and cracking and crashing is heard for a time, then silence again.

Finally the woman emerges from the room, disheveled and obviously annoyed.

"You didn't tell me the damn gun was full of blanks!  I had to beat him to death with the chair!"
