Prophecy of Nostradamus

9-11-2001.  I offer them here as a local (US) mirror of the original content.  It is often hard to find the original quatrains when urban legends start circulating.  Most sites have interpretations of the quatrains rather than the actual centuries. The Prophecies of Nostradamus are NOT copyrighted. You can use them as you wish.  So-called sizains were first published in the beginning of the XVII c.
They are NOT written by Nostradamus (real author is still unknown). But still they can be interesting.

Don't accept these as literal facts.  They were written almost 500 years ago.  Often they do fit certain current events, but many times the writing is so vague it can be manipulated to fit dozens of situations.  So - if the writing is so vague, why do I find it interesting?  Little things - like Nostradamus mentioning America - which didn't exist until well after his death.  There may be some truth in his prophecy.  But it has never been used to actually predict an even before it happens.  Only to be retrofitted after the event.
